We have big news, and it comes in the form of a new member to the A-Team.
Let us introduce you to Steph Farrow, who will be a Digital Marketing Manager with us…
Going back a long, long way back to her University days (only joking Steph) she has a 2:1 from the University of Lincoln in Media Production (where she was student rep for her course and very proud of it too!). After much deliberation on what she wanted to study she settled on this one as the course for her as it allowed her to pair her love of marketing with more practical elements and have a go at tonnes of creative disciplines. She tells us she thinks this is why she now loves to have variety in her career (and what attracted her to Acrylic!).
She has worked in client side roles across sectors including education, travel, fashion and charitable organisations as well as at numerous marketing and digital agencies across the North West. To complicate things further, she also has a lot of freelance experience and continues to work with her husband on his Videography and web business (of which she is mainly tasked with all of the organisational tasks as a self confessed serial list maker!). Her roles have been varied and include Account Management, Social Media and Content Marketing specialisms as well as more rounded Digital Marketing roles, so we’re really excited for her to join our team and get her teeth into our client projects.
Olympics, Travel & Peanut Butter…
She says the coolest project she’s worked on was for The Crown Estate in London during the 2012 Olympics. During this time she worked with a London based digital agency and a team of recent media graduates to create a website and accompanying marketing campaigns to encourage visitors to Regent Street to share what they were buying, places they loved and where they ate and drank during their trip. It was loads of fun and also showcased fellow University of Lincoln graduates for the talented bunch they are!
When we quizzed her about why she eats, sleeps and breathes marketing she told us she loves being creative with all areas of the industry, and pairing this creativity with a strategic edge has always seemed to produce great results. She also really enjoys liaising with clients and getting to know their business, feeling more like part of their internal team rather than an external provider. Pitching for new business is something Steph thrives on, educating businesses on how their marketing could be working harder for them.
About joining Acrylic she says, “I’m super excited to join Acrylic to work with some great clients and be part of such a passionate team of specialists in their individual fields.”
Out of work Steph loves to travel and explore new places, and most recently has been to Copenhagen, Stockholm and Japan. On the agenda this year are Amsterdam and Italy. She also really enjoys fashion (aka shopping), visiting art and photography exhibitions, eating out (mac & cheese and peanut butter are her favourites – obviously not together!) and going on long sunny walks with her other half and her cheeky Cockapoo, Flo.
Acrylic Digital’s co-founder and director Nick Simpson is a marketing magician and the brains behind the business development side of our team. Keeping our customers happy and making sure we deliver maximum ROI to each and every one is a bit of an obsession of his.
